Breaking New Ground: Obol's Launch, Denver Gatherings, and Staking Innovation
Tally's March 2025 updates
Welcome back to the Tally newsletter, your monthly source for DAO governance insights in the Tally ecosystem. February was packed with excitement as our team hit ETH Denver with multiple events, celebrated the successful Obol Collective launch, and continued advancing governance infrastructure across the ecosystem. Let's dive into everything that happened this past month!
✦ The Obol Collective Launch
We're thrilled to share the successful launch of The Obol Collective! As the team behind the largest Decentralized Operator Ecosystem, Obol is revolutionizing proof-of-stake infrastructure to make Ethereum staking more accessible and secure.
Our comprehensive support included:
Seamless claim-and-delegate experience to boost governance participation from day one
Implementation of secure, battle-tested smart contracts using OpenZeppelin's Governor framework
Strategic delegate recruitment, combining targeted outreach with broad community engagement
Custom-branded governance platform that maintains Obol's distinct identity
Multi-channel marketing strategy leveraging Tally's position as a leader in onchain governance
As Toma, Obol Governance Lead, shared: "I can highly recommend @DennisonBertram and the team for TGE help, they're great partners to work with!"
This is just the beginning of a promising partnership that demonstrates how onchain communities can make effective decisions while maintaining their core values.

✦ ETH Denver Takeover
ETH Denver was a whirlwind of activity for the Tally team as we hosted and participated in multiple events throughout the conference.
NYC Pre-ETH Denver Event with Hedgey Finance
Before the Denver festivities began, we partnered with Hedgey Finance in NYC for a special pre-conference event. The evening featured networking, conversations, and alpha on the latest in the token and governance ecosystem. Stay tuned for more in-person NYC events coming soon!
Governance Brunch with Areta and L2BEAT
The second iteration of our Governance Brunch brought together DAO governance leaders for deep, meaningful discussions on key challenges and initiatives in the field. Our intimate setting at Hot Shot Denver enabled focused conversation on complex governance topics.
An Onchain Gathering with Wormhole
Our signature "An Onchain Gathering" event returned to ETH Denver! Co-hosted with Wormhole, this night of networking and open bar brought together the brightest minds in onchain excellence.
Hats DAO Celebration
We joined forces with our partners at Hats, along with Decent, Lemma, and Unlock, to celebrate the next chapter of Hats DAO. Whether you're a wearer, builder, contributor, or just Hats-curious, this gathering was the perfect opportunity to connect with those shaping the Hats ecosystem.
Tally Merch Makes a Splash
Our limited-edition Tally merchandise was a massive hit at ETH Denver! Attendees were eager to get their hands on our swag, and we couldn't be happier with the positive response.
✦ ARB Staking Closed Beta
Following our successful security audit, we're excited to announce the ARB Staking Closed Beta – the first opportunity for $ARB tokenholders to experience staking via Staker. The Closed Beta provided eligible participants with test tokens to open test positions and provide valuable feedback for the future of governance staking.
Note: The ARB Staker Closed Beta is no longer available for participation
✦ Tally CEO, Dennison Bertram featured on Fintech TV
While we didn't release any new DAO Talk podcast episodes last month, our CEO Dennison Bertram was interviewed on Fintech TV's 'Market Movers: The Opening Bell.' He shared valuable insights on growing centralization pressures among Bitcoin advocates, the potential risks for the broader crypto ecosystem, decentralization's impact on Bitcoin, and his perspective on meme coins.
Check out the full interview for Dennison's expert analysis on these critical topics in the cryptocurrency space.
✦ Looking Ahead
March promises to be another exciting month for Tally, with multiple DAO launches on the horizon. Our team is working hard to bring even more innovative governance solutions to the ecosystem, and we can't wait to share the details with you soon.
Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, we'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback.
