welcome back to the Tally newsletter, your weekly source for DAO governance insights. i'm coolhorsegirl and i’m so happy to be here. 🟣
this week, we're spotlighting Tally's DAO Launcher. whether you're looking to streamline delegate registration, integrate delegation upon claim, or amplify your DAO's launch with GTM services, DAO Launcher can take DAOs from 0 to 1.
we’ve got a couple of proposals live for you, too, this time from Arbitrum and Nouns. let’s get into it 👇
🤿 deep dive
since our start in 2020, Tally has offered a self-serve product that allows anyone to add a DAO to Tally in a matter of single-digit minutes. but did you know that you can also work with Tally on a DAO launch? this week, we’re talking DAO Launcher, our product that takes DAOs from 0 to 1.
DAO Launcher includes:
whitelabel Tally: we offer a turnkey solution for launching your DAO by deploying a fully operational DAO platform under your chosen URL. this allows for seamless integration into your DAO's existing website, adorned with your unique branding. we also maintain a DAO homepage on Tally’s site, largely for the network effects of Tally; voters can vote in all of the DAOs they’re apart of on Tally.
register as a delegate flow: Tally simplifies the delegate registration process, going live a week before governance launch. additionally, we tap into our extensive network within the governance ecosystem to recruit value-aligned delegates, setting the foundation for a strong and effective governance structure from day one.
claim and delegate flow: a DAO launch involves more than just token claims; it's about empowering users to participate in governance from the outset. we've integrated the delegation process into the token claim workflow, enabling users to delegate to governance representatives or activate their own voting rights while they’re already on the site claiming tokens. given that OpenZeppelin Governor framework requires voters to delegate to themselves or others, this is critical for fostering an engaged and quorum-capable DAO.
GTM services: Tally has one of the largest media houses in DAO governance, between the Tally blog, The Tally Newsletter, the Tally Twitter and DAO Talk podcast. we collaborate closely with teams to craft and disseminate compelling content about their launch, leveraging our extensive communication channels to amplify their visibility across the governance landscape.
open governance stack: DAOs launched on Tally use the battle-tested OpenZeppelin Governor standard with Flexible Voting, both of which are fully complete and credibly neutral. $10B+ of treasury and $20B+ of TVL is currently managed by OpenZeppelin Governor contracts right now, and flexible voting—which enables novel voting schemes to be created—is in the process of being added to the standard.
the security and reliability of DAO Launcher is backed by Tally’s battle-tested infrastructure and renowned go-to-market services, allowing DAO operators to concentrate on community and governance development without the overhead of launch concerns. looking for examples? check out Hai and Open Dollar, two DAOs that launched with Tally. and as per, reach out if you want to learn more!
