welcome back to the Tally newsletter, your weekly source for DAO governance insights. i'm coolhorsegirl and i’m so happy to be here. 🟣
this week, we're unpacking ETHDenver 2024—where DAO governance got a rigorous stress test and Tally was in the thick of it, deciphering the signals amidst the noise. we’re going into a closer look at how we navigated the chaos, contributed to the discourse, and why it all matters for the future of decentralized decision-making.
fresh back to work, we also have proposals from Hop DAO, Rari DAO, and SoftDAO. let’s get into it 👇
🤿 deep dive
this year's ETHDenver was as eventful as it gets for those of us in the world of DAO governance. amidst the hustle of networking, brainstorming, and grinding proposals, our focus at Tally was sharply on DAO governance in both theoretical and practical sense. we joined Arbitrum’s GovHack, Uniswap’s GovSwap, and held a few events of our own—we left the week excited about how Tally is fitting into the decentralized governance ecosystem.
discussions, panels, and workshops revealed a community at an inflection point, eagerly debating the best paths forward for delegates, service providers, tools, and contributors. it was clear: the ecosystem is hungry for solutions that ensure DAOs meet users where they are, something we’re driving forward in our CTO and co-founder Raf’s talk, “Cross-Chain DAOs.”
reflecting on our time at ETHDenver, it's evident that the work we're doing at Tally is more relevant than ever, and the buzz around potential new protocol launches and governance strategies was palpable. beyond DAOs launching on Tally, our team also dug into partnerships. we met with several governance tooling teams to chat about what more integrated solutions could look like on Tally, solutions that will ultimately trickle down to all participants in DAO governance.
as we begin to apply insights gleaned from the conference, our focus remains steadfast on empowering DAOs to achieve their full potential—decentralized, equitable, and efficient. ETHDenver provided a unique vantage point to assess the point we’re at in the cycle, one where the vibes are there but the grifters are not yet in full force. we’re excited to play a part in the decentralization of more and more organizations, and we’ll see you next conferences at ETHBerlin and ETHCC.
